Fredrik Sjølin - Cello

Fredrik Sjølin grew upp in a house full of music. Already at six he started playing cello at Trondheims School of Music.

Only seven years later Fredrik Sjølin started his carreer by winning the first prize in ”Ungdommens sang- og strykemesterskap” in Stavanger, Norway, 1996.

During the following years, Fredrik Sjølin performed as a soloist with several norwegian orchestras. He also performed outside Norway both as a cello soloist and with his string quartet, ”String-strings”

Fredrik Sjølin has been studying with Torleif Holm and Oyvind Gimse in Norway and with Torleif Thedéen at Edsberg Music Institute, Sweden.

In 2004-5 Fredrik Sjølin was the cello soloist in Trondheim Symphony Orchestra.
